Doing business can be tricky because it involves a lot of trust on both parties especially if large sums of money are involved. At this point, oral promises lose their effectiveness and a written agreement that can be used in court is needed just in case the agreement fails. The written agreement is called a contract and lays out what is expected for both parties to do in the business they are conducting and what legal measures would be taken in the event when those expectations are not met.

Because of the purpose of a contract, contract-writing can be a tricky and technical business. But below are some basic tips on how to write a contract.

Be as explicit as possible. As mentioned earlier, a contract sets the expectations of both parties signing it. Therefore it is important to clearly state what those expectations are. For example if it is an employment contract, the exact figures of the salary and the number of hours should be indicated there.

The length of the term of the contract should also be indicated. Some contracts indicate how many years it will be in effect while others indicate a particular date before the contract is terminated.

Another thing that should be included is the legal action that either party will take in case of a breach of contract. The choice of a court which has the jurisdiction of the case if a legal action occurs is an example of this.

The ownership of the product should also be included, if a product is involved. For example, a contract between a writer and a client should state who will own the rights to what the writer has written after it is submitted to the client.

Although it is not exactly a tip on writing a contract, the help of a contract lawyer should be availed of because contract-writing goes more than the writing itself and legal considerations will also come into play.

For most people, wills are written only by those who are about to die, like older individuals. But the truth of the matter is that none of us knows exactly when we will die, save probably those who willingly take their lives. But other than that, people should be prepared for such an inevitable event. If for example you have assets or debts or children who are not yet of legal age, you must write in your will what happens to them after you pass.

Don’t know where to start? Let the list below be your starting guide to writing a will.

Before you write your will, you should first be aware of your assets. Knowing it will help in clearly defining how much goes to whom.

Also keep in mind if you have underage children and choose people who will act as their legal guardians if you pass before they come of age.

One tricky part of writing a will is in choosing the heirs. How much do you plan to give to a person? It can be a tough decision to make that will have an impact after you die. You should also pick alternatives if a person you chose as an heir passes before you.

When writing your will, you should choose two people to act as your witnesses. These individuals should not be people who will inherit something from you.

Aside from witnesses, you should also get an executor who will enforce what is written in your will after you die.

Wills aren’t written on stone so you can change yours from time to time and whenever you find the need to do so. If you write a new one, the previous one will automatically be made null.

Finally, keep your will where your executor can access it. So putting it in a vault is not an option.

The first thing that comes to mind when talking about writing a research paper is that of a person stuck in a library with stacks of books piled on the table. Such a conception is perfectly understandable because research papers indeed need a lot of information in order to be written.

But more than just a compendium of information written about a subject, research paper takes a stand on a particular issue or tries to argue a point. The information compiled help support those arguments.

We all know that it takes patience in writing a research paper. But more than that, below are otherbasics things needed in writing one:

Establish your topic. What do you want to write about? Find a topic that you are interested in because it is easier to write than one which you have no idea about. Also make sure that your topic is neither too broad nor too specific.

Check your library for resources. Books are your best friend when writing a research paper togethet with a good internet search engine. They give you valuable pieces of information which will help in building up your argument. This is also the reason why your topic shouldn’t be too broad or specific because it makes it easier to look for reference materials.

After getting resources, you should read them (of course!) and take notes. After which, you should organize your ideas and write them down. What you have written will serve as your first draft.

In your first draft, as well as the succeeding drafts, you should write down footnotes to refer to your sources. Also, you should come up with a bibliography wherein your sources of information are listed.

As with other forms of writing, you should proofread and edit your work until you are satisfied with the result. Good sources are never enough when you cannot translate them into a well-written research paper.

Poetry is one of the most ancient forms of art in the world. It even predates writing. Ancient poems were handed down from one generation to the next orally. Only until a particular civilization is able to write a poem down are they actually put down on paper.

Probably the most basic way of writing a poem is by giving lines a rhyme and structuring them into verses. But a lot of poems today are written in unorthodox ways. But there are some things that make a poem different from the rest of forms of writing. Want to know about them? Read the guide on writing a poem below.

Play with your words. Alright, your mother told you not to play with your food. But she didn’t say anything about playing with your words, right? There can be several meanings to a certain word and there could be more in a phrase or sentence. Play around them to your heart’s delight.

Poems are meant to be read aloud. You should keep this in mind when writing your poem. While some words look good or witty on paper, they may sound lame or weak when you read them aloud.

Remember the basic rhyming poem? Rhyme can be hard or soft. Hard rhymes refer to those identical-sounding words while soft rhymes are those which are similar-sounding.

Check Love Lyrics To me for inspiration in love song lyrics. They can help you out find the right start, rhymes or mood for your poem. Use it for educational purpose.

Familiarize yourself with the different forms of poetry. Examples of which include the ode, sonnet, sestina, villanelle and the pantoum. Learning about them can give you a wider view of looking at poems in general and would help you be more creative in the pieces that you write.

While editing other written works can be done without reading them aloud, the opposite is true for poetry. If something sounds uncomfortable when it comes out of your tongue, you may consider changing it to create a better poem.

These basics instructions can be use for many different sort of poems like a;

love poem

friendship poem

poem valentine

funny poem

birthday poem

poem romantic

child poem

inspirational poem

A business letter is one that we write if we are looking for information about a particular entity (a company, for example) or write an official communication. Because of its nature, business letters tend to be formal and straight to the point. It is no wonder too, that it follows a certain convention when writing one. Below are some tips on writing a business letter.

A business letter is usually written in block style. It means that the text is justified and it is single-spaced except for in between the paragraphs which are double-spaced.

Companies receive tons of mail everyday and have no time to peruse completely each letter that is sent to them. Therefore, a business letter should be written in a concise and straightforward way. It delivers the message right away without beating around the bush and wasting the reader’s time.

Identify yourself. If you represent a particular company, it is recommended that you use your company’s letterhead. A letterhead contains your company’s logo as well as important contact information such as the office address and telephone number.

Just below your letterhead, put the full name and address of the person you’re sending the letter to.

Just below the addressee’s information is the salutation. Unlike other forms of letters, a colon is used on the salutation instead of a comma.

Business letter writing involves formal writing. That is why contractions of any sort (e.g. don’t; use do not instead) should be avoided.

Always be courteous and say thank you at the last paragraph of your letter.

Close your letter with a complimentary closing and your full name. Remember to leave enough space for your signature.

Before you mail your letter to the addressee, also make sure that you have a copy of it as a future reference.

A cover letter is a letter which you send along with your resume. It states information on how you found the job posting and expresses your intention in applying for the particular job. Basically, it is an introduction about you and it is as important as the resume itself. The way you write your cover letter can make or break your application. Therefore, your cover letter must be written well so as not to waste the head hunter’s time.

Want to write a cover letter? Here are some tips that will get you started:

Make it short and simple. Since you are writing for a head hunter who receives tons of letters and e-mails everyday (of which cover letters are only a part of), you should go directly to the point about what your letter is about.

You can write a cover letter in three, short paragraphs. In the first paragraph, state your reason for writing the letter. This is also where you show how interested you are in the job.

After showing your interest in the job, show how qualified you are on the next paragraph. Although you are trying to sell yourself here, do not exaggerate it. State a brief outline of your past work experiences as well as your achievements in your previous jobs. State how they contribute to your strengths as a candidate for employment.

Finally, refer to your resume which you sent along the letter. Request for an interview after this.

Also, don’t forget to be courteous. Say thank you at the end of your letter for the time that the reader spent in reading it.

Cover letters are formal letters. That is why you shouldn’t use contractions in your cover letter. Avoid don’ts, can’ts and the likes. Also be conscious of your grammar.

One of the most fantastic pieces that anybody could write is a song. For one, it is much like a poem but it works differently. Poems rely on the words for the rhythm while songs can rely on several things such as rhythm instruments like drums. And just like any other form of creative writing, it often begins with an inspiration.

While there are songs that write themselves in a matter of minutes, there are those that need some more work in order to be crafted perfectly. Take for example two songs by Led Zeppelin. First is the one called Rock n’ Roll which was written immediately after hearing the drummer play a ‘rock and rolly’ beat. Then there’s ‘Dazed and Confused’ which was written before the band was formed. It was only until the band reworked it that it became the classic that it is today.

If you’re having a hard time finding inspiration, let the tips below help you out.

You can start a song with just the title. First, put out a list of possible song titles. From there, pick a title which intrigues you and that which is able to conjure an image in your mind. You can now let your imagination work and let it help you write the song.

Another place to find inspiration is in the books you read. Good books provide you with ideas which can help you paint a picture that you want to draw with the song.

Also, you can start with a beat or a melody and try writing your song from there. It can give you a different approach from writing a song out of the words you create.

Finally, don’t throw out lyrics and melodies you have written. Who knows, you just might put it into good use in the future.

How to write a Love letter? To tell you how to write a love letter is equivalent of telling how to love. Love letters are nothing but the reflection of your love towards your beloved. You just need to make it special. Here is how can you write a beautiful love letter.

The first thing that you need to take care of is the envelope. This is one part on which anyone hardly pays any attention but you need to know that this is the first thing that your beloved will come across. The Envelope says a lot about the Letter. An old phrase that emphasizes on the importance of the cover, an overtly colored, childish envelope is not going to take you anywhere. Instead try soft colored envelopes to enclose the precious piece of paper with in.

Next comes the stationery. Do not present a dull black and white or a black and blue piece of paper to your love. Try something overtly romantic. Glitters and soft sparkling gel pens are always a great choice. Do not computer type your love letter. Your beloved will confuse it for an examination paper. Best love letters are hand written ones. Now comes the most important part, the body or the content of your letter. Do not write in formal language because you are not addressing your principal or boss. Use beautifully carved words to express your love towards him/her. You can say “I have seen girls pretending to fairies but for the first time I saw a fairy pretending to be a girl in you” and similar catchy and touchy lines. The best way to begin your letter is by writing “My dearest followed by his/her name”.

Write your heart out in the letter and tell how much do you love him/her and how she/he has been the most valuable person in your life till date. You can try being witty and can use occasional humorous lines in between to take him/her to a lighter mood. Justify your love letter by mentioning the reasons behind writing this letter to him/her. Do not over pamper your beloved but at the same time do not forget to mention about his/her value to you. Carefully mark the date, time and place on the letter. It would be utterly enjoyable when both of you will read it at a later date.

Finally finish your love letter by saying some moving words like “this letter is like my hear in form of paper or Now that I have confessed, I can rest in peace.” If you follow the basic guidelines to write a love letter, you are sure to impress your soul mate and lead to the fairy tale ending or rather beginning “…and they lived happily ever after”.

Children have their own mysterious world where they keep crawling every single day and night. Children have simple emotions, simple feelings and simple ways of interpreting things. The books that they read is their only gateway to the outside world, the only way they increase their creative and imaginative powers. And so among all writing jobs, writing a child book is the most difficult ones. Here are some basic tips to write a good and attractive child book.

Children have very less interpretation powers, yet they are overtly imaginative. So if you are writing a child book and you write it on politics, corruption or some other heavy matter, even the brightest kid would not be able to make out anything. Instead choose lighter topics. A fairy tale or simple tales of a frog or a monkey are the most appealing child topics. Create your whole book around children, which attracts children the most. You can try introducing a main child character and his many friends.

Do not move too fast like a thriller novel. Keep steady pace revealing simple things and topics so that the children are able to understand every single word of the book. Always be cautious bout not writing any illicit and unethical content in the book because the child’s brain is like water, it takes the shape of the container every time. Books read in the childhood, always have a long lasting effect on a person and his life.

Do not make the book over voluminous because more no of pages mean that the children will soon get bored about this whole reading thing. A book well under 40 pages is an ideal book for children. Children are emotionally very immature so do not create scenes of miseries and deaths in your books because that can affect the child’s mind adversely. Make the book a joy to read by adding pictures every alternate page. Pictures have a self explanatory power that makes children understand the book even better. And finally do not use heavy words of the renaissance period; the child will not be able to decipher it. For example if you want to say that animals of the forest exulted, it would be better to say that he animals of the forest were very happy.
